What’s Your Dream Date?

Featured, Life

An evening with David Bowie? Swimming with sharks? Find out what out cast think would make the best date ever.

With Valentines Day fast approaching we could all use some inspiration for planning the perfect date. But February 14th shouldn’t just be for the lovers, everyone can take the opportunity to Treat Yo Self to an awesome day out.

We asked the Flunk cast what their dream date would be to inspire you all into action.

Uisce said “something to do with travel like snorkeling with dolphins or sharks… sharks might be a bit scary. Snorkeling with dolphins would be the best date ever.”

If swimming with dolphins is on your bucket list Dolphin Swims in Queenscliff can sort you out. Just a 90 minute drive from Melbourne.

Or if you’re feeling brave maybe take a dip with the sharks at the Melbourne Aquarium.

Beau reckons “parachuting or something just extravagant and completely out of the water” is the way to go. Why not check out Red Balloon for some heart racing, extreme date inspo.

Akasha’s dream date would combine the beach, Luna Park, the movies and “ending the day [listening] to David Bowie.” A pretty tall order! But as it happens we can totally make that happen.

Kick off the day with a morning swim at St Kilda beach (mind the little penguins!) followed by a quick lunchtime loop around ‘The Great Scenic Railway’ at Luna Park. Jump an Uber across to The Astor Cinema where you can catch an awesome classic movie. Cap off the day at The Butterfly Club in Melbourne where, from February 27th to March 4th you can catch The Thin White Ukes – a David Bowie tribute act immortalizing the iconic star “on small stringed instruments, craftily arranged for three-part vocal harmony and maximum goose bumps.”

Jess told us “[my] dream date would be just seeing a really, really great movie. I really love movies and if I see a really good film, that I really love, it could literally transform my entire life.” Seeing a movie is a great way to start a date as it gives you something to talk about over dinner. Why not pop into the Nova Cinema then take a wander along Lygon Street and see what tickles your fancy.
