Two girls. One lockdown. On the final night of her trip to Australia, Canadian traveller Kristal meets Melbourne local Lisette and their instant attraction leads to a one-night stand. But when a sudden COVID lockdown leaves Kristal stranded with nowhere to stay, she moves in with the woman she barely knows. Confined together indefinitely, the two strangers must discover whether their unexpected connection is merely a product of isolation—or the beginning of something real
Canadian traveller Kristal is preparing to leave Australia when a chance encounter with Lisette turns her final night in Melbourne into an unexpected one-night stand. Neither woman expects to see the other again, but by morning the city has entered COVID lockdown, Kristal’s journey home has been thrown into uncertainty and she has nowhere to stay. Lisette offers her a temporary place to live, transforming a fleeting attraction into an intense and unpredictable domestic arrangement.
As days of isolation stretch into weeks, the two women are forced to navigate clashing personalities, unfamiliar boundaries and the awkward realities of sharing a home with someone they have only just met. Frustration gradually gives way to intimacy as Kristal and Lisette discover the loneliness, fears and vulnerabilities beneath each other’s defences. Yet the closer they become, the harder it is to ignore the uncertainty surrounding them: Kristal’s life remains in Canada, the lockdown will eventually end and neither woman knows whether their relationship can exist beyond the extraordinary circumstances that brought them together.
Warm, intimate and emotionally honest, Lockdown Lovers is an LGBTQ+ romantic drama about two strangers finding connection at a moment when the world has been forced apart. Combining a distinctive international premise with character-driven storytelling, the film explores isolation, cultural difference and the frightening possibility that an accidental relationship may become too important to leave behind.

This movie was absolutely brilliant🙈You’re welcome😄So happy Krystal decided not to go back to Canada☺️I love how more in the beginning, that part when Lisette was getting tired of Krystal’s regime but she was like lucky I find you smoking hot😝

I already knew this movie was going to be amazing🙈But now I can say, I have watched the movie and can confirm it is worth investing your time on😉Haha in UK time the movie was released at 19:00. I am a bit like Krystal. At 18:59 I am making sure I click the watch button as soon as the movie was released at 19:00. Very time punctual and stuck to routine😝I know what. I am like, I really enjoy Flunk content but then rewatch so many times that my commenting gets delayed😂So taking time to comment now before I go and rewatch again😁The bts vids were nice to watch too. I like hearing what the girls have to say😄Infinite Fidelity. The book Krystal was reading, the same book Heidi was reading. The same book she had found in Saffron’s room in Flunk: After School😊We see infinite fidelity in Flunk: Season 4 as well, when Heidi was like sitting down at a table in the park where Ruby was jogging and Saffron was asking Heidi isn’t Wayne worried about where Heidi is?

Lol, I am still cooling down from my excitement that I forgot to answer Lin’s question. Yes, I want to see more of Lisette, Krystal and Freya!😄Bring us more of these girls please😄😊Haha I am taking Freya is no longer with Nadine or she is but she is not happy with Nadine because she was saying to Lisette how her face is the face of the person who is not inlove. But Lisette’s face is the face of someone who is inlove😉

That was really really good. Kinda a departure from the previous Flunk Projects (but with the same charm and good casting etc.), in a way that I really loved. I would love to see more of them!
(Though I definitely would have been more mad at the lying about the house bit, especially after that rude awakening)

Good film! It was overall a great, cohesive story. Character arcs were nice, although a tad abrupt at points. Really enjoyed the pacing– the slower it got the more I was reminded of how I actually felt in those beginning weeks of lockdown. Acting was some of the best I’ve seen in any Flunk production and the two leads had undeniable chemistry. I had some issues with the presentation of COVID within the story, although that’s obviously far from important in the context of fiction. Least believable part was that an independent spirit lesbian with purple hair wouldn’t take COVID seriously.
But all in all I really enjoyed it!
