Things between Heidi and Tabby are becoming increasingly difficult to define.
One minute they’re fighting, the next they can barely stay away from each other — and Heidi seems determined to find out just how far Tabby is willing to step outside her comfort zone. But as Tabby gets pulled deeper into Heidi’s reckless world, she begins questioning whether changing herself is really the price she should have to pay to be liked.
Stella has problems of her own. Life with her grandmother is becoming increasingly uncomfortable, particularly when Greta’s attitudes towards sexuality stop feeling like harmless comments. With home no longer feeling like somewhere she belongs, Stella begins spending more time at school — and finds an unexpected person willing to listen.
Meanwhile, Dani and Freya attempt to escape their problems with some time away together, but Freya’s jealousy over Ingrid refuses to disappear. And when news from Ingrid finally arrives, Dani is forced to confront feelings she thought she had moved past.
Freya says she loves Dani and is terrified of losing her. But behind that fear, something more controlling is beginning to emerge.
And Ingrid may be closer to returning than anyone realises.
